LA PLUME, Pa. - Meron Tekeste scored the golden goal at the 4:54 mark of the first overtime to give the Dickinson men's soccer team a 2-1 win over the host Keystone College in non-conference play on Wednesday night. The win was the first for Red Devils head coach Jorge Chapoy.

Dickinson was on the front foot in the first half recording the first five shots of the match. However, the attempts from Tyson Burling, Chris Hackley, Nigel Woodroffe, and Tekeste did not test Giants keeper Erick Gomez. In the 24th-minute Keystone got their opening look at goal with Axel Gonzalez forcing a save out of John Baney off a corner kick. Dickinson finally got a shot on frame in the 32nd as Isaac Bradbury had his blast knocked to the side by Gomez which led to things being 0-0 at half. 

It took 2:40 into the second period before Franck Rutabara was denied by Baney to preserve the tie. There would then not be another shot until the 10:07 mark when Burling beat Gomez with an unassisted goal. Rutabara went in search of the equalizer in the 66th-minute but missed to the right.  However, he would solve Baney at the 72:09 mark off an assist from Francois Elize. Keystone got three more shots off in the half trying to find a possible winner, but Baney was up to the task on all of them. In the last three minutes of regulation, the Devils had a chance to end things, unfortunately, Woodroffe and Bradbury were both shut down by Gomez. 

Dickinson had the only two shots of the overtime with Bradbury having his attempt cleared off the line by Lucas Duano after the ball got by Gomez. The Red Devils finally found the winner in the fifth minute of the extra session as Burling played in a corner that found Andrew McSlarrow who setup Tekeste for the finish.

Dickinson returns to Centennial Conference action on Saturday when they head to Allentown to battle Muhlenberg College under the lights at 7 p.m.
