LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Dickinson men's cross country team earned a sixth-place finish at the Border Battle hosted by Rowan University at DREAM Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils racked up 250 points to solidify their position led by a 16th-place finish by Charles Scharf with a time of 25:48.0. He was followed by his brother Christopher Scharf in 21st at 25:53.6. Jacob Doherty Munro was the next Devil to come in placing 57th at 26:40.9. Matthew Dietrick completed the 8k event with a time of 26:57.3 (69th). Brock Overlander landed just outside the Top-100 in 105th clocking in at 27:28.6. Coltin Albitz and Michael Loalbo also completed the course with times of 28:14.0 and 28:24.3 respectively.
SUNY Geneseo won the team title with just 39 points, while the next closest competitor Lynchburg posted 90. Frank Csorba of Lynchburg took home the individual crown with a time 24:42.7.
Dickinson also had a group of runners compete in Men's Open 8k which was led by a 24th-place finish for Nolan Meinke (28:30.9). Ethan Katz crossed the line in 29:59.3 for 70th. Romario Cruz (31:13.12), Hunter Omerzo (31:24.0), and Shane Coll (32:36.0) competed in the event as well.
