CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's soccer team got a first-half goal from Luke Beiles, but it would not be enough as the visiting Washington College Shoremen earned a 2-1 win on Senior Day at Phyllis Joan Miller Memorial Field on Saturday afternoon.

Washington was on the front foot early recording the first four shots of the match with Devils keeper John Baney making stops on Cole Gifford and James Strine. Dickinson had their opening chance of the match at the 25:18 mark when Tyson Burling sent a shot over the head of Anthony Pinto in goal for the visitors. Seven minutes later the Shoremen would find the breakthrough as Alex Coster and Harrison Malone were blocked, before Eric Gwadz found Strine for the finish. The Devils would find the equalizer with just 27-seconds remaining in the half with Chaz Smith setting up Beiles who fired the ball into the net making it 1-1 at the break. 

It would take seven minutes for either side to create a chance in the second period as Geoffrey Ogenrwot blasted a shot over the goal. Unfortunately for the home side two minutes later Gifford cashed in on a nice feed from Gwadz to take a 2-1 edge at the 53:12 mark. Washington tried to add onto their lead through Greg Adams and Gwadz, but Baney was up to the task on both occasions. Dickinson had one final look at the goal with just under 15 minutes left as Ogenrwot sent his effort wide of Pinto allowing the Shoremen to close out the 2-1 win.
