COCKEYSVILLE, Md. - Senior Christopher Scharf ran a 25:22.0 to claim the individual championship and Centennial Conference Runner of the Year honors in addition to being named First Team All-Conference. As the Dickinson men's cross country team took home third-place at the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday at the Baltimore County Agricultural Center.
Scharf outlasted the entire 103-runner field on the eight-kilometer course to claim victory, beating out Haverford's Ryan Kredell by ten seconds. His brother Charles Scharf was the second Red Devil across the line finishing in 26:06.6 for seventh place as well as a First Team All-Conference selection. Jacob Doherty Munro landed in 26th completing the event in 27:13.3. Brock Overlander clocked in at 27:35.6 for 34th, while Michael Loalbo (27:53.5) and Julian John (27:56.9) occupied 39th and 41st. Matthew Dietrick crossed the line in 28:12.3 for 47th place.
William Tripp (28:22.9), Romario Cruz (28:42.1), Nolan Meinke (28:46.2), Charlie Miske (29:01.7), and Coltin Albitz (29:51.6) also completed the race for the Devils.
Haverford took home the team title with 37 points, while host Johns Hopkins put up 45. Dickinson took home third by racking up 83 points to hold off fourth-place Swarthmore (102) and fifth-place Ursinus (134).

Dickinson will host the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday, November 13th at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania.
