GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson women's soccer team went in search of a pivotal three Centennial Conference points on Wednesday night when they visited the battlefield for a matchup with the Gettysburg College Bullets. Unfortunately, neither side would be able to provide a goal-scoring moment as the two teams played to a 0-0 draw at Clark Field.
It would take until the 15th-minute for either side to get a look as
Meg Tate ripped one over the head of Caitlin Amman Two minutes later Dickinson got another good chance two minutes later when
Charlotte Glancey was shutdown by Amman. Gettysburg recorded the two chances, but neither Lena Schaefer or Laurel Teel bothered Devils keeper
Sophia Kavulich. The Red and White had the final two attempts of the half as
Maddie St. Amand was stopped by Amman in the 37th, before
Sarah Cudmore sent one wide right to end the half.
Dickinson seemed determined to notch the first goal of the match early in the second period as they recorded five shots in the opening ten minutes as Tate fired three wide, before St. Amand forced a pair of stops out of Amman. The Bullets got the next two chances, but once again no one threatened Kavulich. The Red and White made Amman make four more saves as she denied
Emma Cooney,
Ellie Nordwind, and Tate keeping things scoreless into the 76th. Each team recorded two more shots, however no one was able to put one on target leading to the 0-0 final scoreline.
