CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's soccer team got goals from four different players to improve to 6-0 at Miller Memorial Field with a 4-0 Centennial Conference win over the visiting Bryn Mawr College on Saturday afternoon.
It would take until the 17th-minute for the match to see its first shot when
Meg Tate pinged the pipe, before her rebound attempt was stopped by Bryn Mawr keeper Emma Ryan.
Emma Cooney and
Katie Vassilakos recorded attempts during the 24th, but both offerings went to the right of the mark. Dickinson found the back of the net with their final two shots of the half as
Ellie Nordwind cashed in a feed from Tate in the 30th, while
Sarah Cudmore buried a goal off a double-assist by
Charlotte Glancey and
Emily Dunkel a dozen minutes later. The Owls tallied their only shot of the half with 42:43 off the clock, however the blast by Paige Mastripolito did little to scare Devils goalie
Katey Van Kirk.
Tate tried to join the scoring in the 49th, but once again Ryan was up to the task between the sticks. The Red and White picked up goals three and four during minutes 56 and 57 thanks to Cooney as well as Tate. Dickinson was unable to add anything else to the scoresheet despite the efforts of
Lila Brown,
Lexie Greene,
Phebe Guenther,
Isra Khan, and Cudmore as DC left the pitch with the 4-0 cleansheet.
