BOSTON - The fifth-seeded Dickinson women's squash team began their busy weekend with a convincing 8-1 win over the fourth-seeded Saint Lawrence University Saints on Friday morning on day one of the College Squash Association Women's Team Championships hosted by Harvard University.

At the top flight, Amna Fayyaz broke a 1-1 tie against Anannya Morey with wins of 11-3 and 11-8 to win in four. The second slot saw Lindsay Kuracina rally back from a 2-1 deficit to pick up a win in five with a dominating 11-3 victory in the decisive game. Whitney Finney had her attempt at a 3-0 shutout stymied by Margaret Fleischner as she took the third 11-5, before dropping the fourth 11-7. Jocelyn Feliciano, Cate Moll, Eloise Nimoityn, Anna O'Connor, and Courtney Trail each held their opponents off the scoreboard. Ellissa Goldman lost a very tight battle at the ninth flight to Katherine Leiva.

Dickinson moves on to the winner's bracket semifinals to take on the rival Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. F&M is the top seed in the bracket and is coming off an 8-1 win on Friday over eighth-seeded Wesleyan University. The other semifinal with consist of (#6) William Smith College and (#7) Hamilton College
