LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson women's squash team split the first six flights with the Franklin and Marshall College Diplomats on Friday night during day one of the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference championships. However, the Diplomats showed tremendous depth at the later flights to bring down the Red and White 6-3 at the Mayser Squash Courts.
Inside the Match
Dickinson picked up a win at the top flight thanks to Amna Fayyaz as she held off a valiant effort from Audrey Berling in four games. After Aryaa Ogale won in the number two slot, the Devils responded with a 3-0 victory courtesy of Lindsay Kuracina. The Red and White got their final win of the night at the fifth spot when Anna O'Connor knocked off Zarine Gidwaney. The most exciting match came at the eighth flight where Pratiksha Mishra and Jocelyn Feliciano traded games before Mishra took the fifth 11-8. Whitney Finney and Doxey Loupassi each took a game from their opponent, but it would not be enough.
