CARLISLE, Pa. - For the first time in 18 days the Dickinson women's lacrosse team returned to action as the Red and White welcomed the 13th-ranked Hamilton College to Biddle Field. Unfortunately, for the Red Devils it took them the entire first quarter to find their footing as the visitors turned a 10-1 first-quarter lead into a 19-8 non-conference win on Tuesday afternoon.

Hamilton took the opening draw control down the field and turned it into an early lead as Julia Fornasar beat Drew Yager. DC responded immediately with Riley Kuehn finding Gabby Guadalupe to level the score at 1-1 with her shot whizzing past Maeve Luparello. The rest of the period belonged to the Continentals as they ripped off nine straight goals over the final 13-minutes to take a 10-1 lead to the second. 

Hamilton continued their rampage into the second with Alana King and Clarissa Hurley sending free-position shots beyond the reach of Ella Marks who took over between the pipes for the Red and White. Dickinson then started to find a rhythm with Emma Wynne ringing iron and Kuehn just missing high. The Red Devils finally stopped the Hamilton run with 3:51 left when Kuehn's pass deflected off the stick of Gabby Guadalupe into the net. Two minutes later Liz Barroll missed the mark, but Liv Yeagle converted on a free-position attempt. DC continued their charge scoring three more times in the final 17-seconds of the quarter with Regan Kawa, Barroll, and Guadalupe all besting Kaitlin Reed in cage to close within 12-6 at half. 

To begin the third Hamilton put yet another goalie between the pipes as Casey Fiore replaced Reed. She was immediately helped out by her teammates with Meghan Lane and Hurley burying the rock within the opening six minutes to stretch the lead back out to 14-6. A save by Marks at the one end led to another Devils free-position goal with Delaney Herbert joining the party. Hamilton had the final four shots of the period, but could not solve Marks. 

The Continentals kept up the pressure recording the first four shots of the fourth and forcing Marks into a pair of saves. Olivia Chiota extended the lead to 15-7 with 5:32 remaining, before Wynne fired the ball past the fourth goalie of the day for the visitor's Maggie Reville. Hamilton then locked all windows and doors on the Devils holding them shotless over the final 8:42, while adding four more goals of their own for the 19-8 final.
