HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Dickinson men's golf team began their 2023-24 season on Sunday afternoon by taking part in Day One of two-day Gauntlet Tournament hosted by Premier Collegiate Tournaments at Dauphin Highlands Golf Course.
The Red and White were led by first-year
Ryan Wheeler who fired a four-under 68 on the 6932-yard, par 72 course to sit in second-place. Fellow first-year
Colin Vineberg is in a five-way tie for seventh after posting a two-under 70. His round was boosted by fantastic front nine that included a hole-in-one on the par three, 158-yard fourth hole as well as three other birdies.
Brandon Wilson recorded one birdie and one bogey on each nine to finish at 73.
Peter Lown came in with a 75, while
Carl Williams was one shot back on 76.
Mackenzie Kim of Farmingdale State University holds the lead through one day thanks to a blistering 67. In the team standings Randoph-Macon College has a five shot edge over both Dickinson and Farmingdale State with 18 holes to play.
