Anne Leakey collected wins at the first and second spots, but it would not be enough for the Red and White as they dropped a 7-2 decision to the host Amherst College at the Davenport Squash Courts.
Inside the Match
Fayyaz and Leakey secured their wins over both Callie DeIalio and Tanmai Pathak by 3-0 scorelines. In the third slot,
Katie Herring took the first game 11-7 against Quincy Cline, before dropping the next two (11-7, 11-9). However, she did not go down without a fight claiming an 11-7 victory in the fourth, prior to falling 11-4 in a decisive fifth.
Cate Moll playing at seven was the only other Devil to pick up a game versus a Mammouth player as she won the third game versus Maggie Pearson 11-9, but ultimately fell in four.
