CARLISLE, Pa. - For the first time in almost a month the Dickinson football team was back at the friendly confines of Biddle Field on Saturday afternoon as they welcomed McDaniel College for a Centennial Conference clash. The Red and White got it done on both ends of the field as they put up 450 yards of offense, while limiting the visiting Green Terror to just 122 as the Devils posted a 24-0 win.
- After each team's opening drive did not amount to much the Devils began their second march at their own 21. Rushes by Diante Ball and Presley Egbers helped DC get up to their own 44 yardline. Egbers then connected with Keesean Campbell and Ball thru the air to work across midfield to the MCD38. A rush of 16 yards for Ball, along with a carry from Cedric Benning III gave the Devils a chance at points as Kieran O'Neill was brought on for a 40-yard field goal. His attempt clanged off the upright, but the ball skipped through the uprights for a 3-0 lead late in the period.
- The ensuing McDaniel drive saw Angel Granado hit Nick Domzalski for 19 up to the MCD48. However, after that the DC defense stepped up as Joaquin Acuna broke up two straight passes and Domani White batted one down at the line to end the period.
- McDaniel's first march of the frame Granado ran the ball six times and aided by an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty the Green Terror found themselves at the edge of the redzone looking at first down. The drive went no further however as Granado was picked off by Keon Eady putting DC in business on their own four with 8:30 left.
- Three runs for Ball and two completions to Bobby Markey had DC with 1st-and-10 on the DC36. Egbers then hit Frederik Fjeldseth for 22, Benning III for one and Markey for six to get down to MCD30. Following a dozen yards for Ball on the ground, Egbers linked up with Kellen Boyer advancing to the MCD19. That was when Egbers hit Boyer for a 19-yard touchdown making it 10-0 (O'Neill kick) as the Red and White finished off a 17-play, 96-yard drive that sucked up 8:12.
- After the Green Terror went three-and-out on their opening drive, the Devils started up on their own 43 just two minutes into the period. A 15-yard reception by Markey was followed by rushes for Ball, Benning III and Egbers advancing to MCD13. Two plays later Egbers found Markey for an eight-yard TD stretching the DC advantage to 17-0 (O'Neill kick). Once tagain the Red and White used a very time consuming drive going 12-plays, 57-yards lasting 7:43.
- Sam Orzolek would record three tackles during the ensuing McDaniel drive with Julien Devlin, John Prochniak and Acuna chipped in on the tackles as the visitors gave the rock back to the Red and White to start the fourth.
- Two penalties against the visitors helped DC advance up to the MCD18. However, a holding foul on the Dickinson offensive line pushed them back to the MCD28, but that was not a drive stopper as Egbers hit a wide-open Dane Sorensen down the left sideline for a touchdown making the lead 24-0 (O'Neill kick).
- McDaniel would go three-and-out on their next possession, before Brendan Walker cut their final march of the game short with an interception ending any thought of a miracle comback for the Green Terror.
