Dickinson would fall behind just over four minutes in as a foul inside the circle resulted in a penalty stroke for the Bullets. Morgan Cherry would step up to the spot and fire the shot beyond the reach of Taylor Morrow. Gettysburg continued to carry the play the remainder of the frame earning two corners and posting one more shot that Katie Regan had blocked. The Bullets recorded another shot with 50 seconds off the clock as Jillian Somers missed the target. That opened the door for the Red and White two minutes later as Becca Woods found an open Megan McClure for the finish past Emilia Saccento to tie the game. Gettysburg notched one more shot prior to the break, but Alex Wenz skipped it wide. Each team only would tally one shot in the frame as Bella Bonazinga missed wide of Morrow's cage in the 37th for Gettysburg. A minute later a foul in the circle against the Bullets resulted in the second stroke called of the match as this time it went to Dickinson. Woods stepped up to the spot and fired the ball past Saccento for a 2-1 lead through three. The Red and White immediately got the ball into the circle and earned three corners resulting in shots from Maggie Carson and McClure that were denied by Saccento within the opening minute. Gettysburg would have the final two shots of the contest as Jillian Somers was stopped by Morrow, while Sabrina Post had one final look in the 60th, but sent it off target.
