It took until the sixth minute of the match to see the first shot as Prisco was blocked the defense. Then four minutes later off a corner kick, Lila Brown would miss the mark, but Prisco was able to collect the loose ball and fire a shot over the head of GC keeper Alex Jurow for the 1-0 lead. Following the Bullets opening shot of the evening, Prisco let two more attempts go towards goal and McSweeney added one that was denied by Jurow as the match entered the 15th minute. Gettysburg would ask questions of DC keeper Sophia Kavulich in both the 33rd and 39th minutes, but both attempts for Jane Daiutolo were shutdown by the keeper. Madison Mobray had the Devils last opportunity of the frame, unfortunately she missed wide right as the match went to halftime. The visitors had the first look of the period when Steph Balerna sent the ball over the top of the net. Jurow was then called into action twice stopping Georgia Mantione in the 50th and McSweeney during the 55th. Then with 75:50 gone in the match McSweeney nabbed her first goal in a Dickinson kit by tracking down the ball inside the 18-yard box and ripped a shot past Jurow. Each team would have one more shot, but neither tested a keeper as Katie Vassilakos and Payton Waller missed the target.
