GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Dickinson women's squash team pushed their record to 2-0, after not dropping a set in a 7-2 victory over the Herons of William Smith College inside the Mitchell Center on the campus of Denison University.
Inside the Match
The shorthanded Red Devils dominate all seven played matches after having to default the bottom two flights. First-year Charlotte Derdeyn picks up her first win for the Red and White, only losing 5 points on her way to a straight sets victory in the seventh flight. Sophomores Katie Herring and Thea Hegde take down the second and sixth flights respectively, only dropping two points the entire match each. Anne Leakey, Gabi El-Masry, Victoria Savelius and Anna O'Connor all made quick work of their opponents winning in straight sets. No sets lost and only 36 total points lost over the entire match tells the story here as Dickinson can move into next week full of confidence.
