PHILADELPHIA, Pa – The Dickinson women's squash team continued their strong beginning to the season, moving to 4-1 on the season after falling to the Dragons of Drexel University 8-1 in the morning slate, but then bouncing back with authority, winning 8-1 against the diplomats of Franklin & Marshall.

The Red Devils put up a good fight against their Top-10 opponent, having some competitive matches throughout the lineup, and even pulling off a historic victory in the top flight. Sophomore Anne Leakey displayed why she is one of the best players in college squash, making easy work of Moa Bonnemark in 24 minutes to earn the Red Devils their lone victory. All other matches were in straight sets, however, the team showed great fight and spirit, doing the Red and White proud in front of a packed away crowd.

Inside the Match
The Red Devils won all matches played in the tie, with the only win for the Diplomats coming in the ninth flight in which Dickinson was unable to field a player. Four matches went longer than three sets, with Katie Herring, Thea Hegde and Cate Moll all winning in four sets, and then Victoria Savelius surviving a long five setter to come put winner in the fourth flight. The Red Devils won the rest of the matches in straight sets, topping off a dominating performance from the red and white.
