PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Dickinson women's squash team got back to action on Saturday beginning Day One of their Rhode Island swing. The Red and White began the day with a 6-3 loss to the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College, before rebounding with a 7-2 win against the Bears of Brown University.

The Red Devils once again found success in the top two spots in the ladder, with sophomore Anne Leakey moving her individual record to 7-1 with a win in the top flight in four games. Sophomore Katie Herring had the same result in the second flight, getting by Amanda Cowhey in four games also. The third Red Devil win came in the fifth flight, with Junior Anna O'Connor continuing the theme of four game victories, taking down Kira Gwadry. Gabi El-Masry and Victoria Savelius each got a game in the third and fourth flights, however, it wasn't quite enough to put the Red and White over the edge.

Inside the Match
The Red Devils cruised to victory in the second match of the day, only falling in two matches. Katie Herring, Victoria Savelius, Anna O'Connor, Thea Hegde, Cate Moll and Charlotte Derdeyn all were victorious in only three games, which demonstrates the control the Red Devils had in the match, all playing great squash. Sophomore Anne Leakey was the only Red Devil who needed an extra game in her route to a win in the top flight against Saisha Gupta. First-year Gabi El-Masry fought hard but came up short in the third flight, losing in five games.
