PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Dickinson women's squash team took down the Camels of Conn College 8-1 in the final match of the semester on Sunday afternoon.
Inside the Match
The Red Devils defeated the Camels without losing a single game, with the only loss coming in the ninth flight where the Red and White had to default the match as they were without a full lineup. The Red Devils won six total games without dropping a single point, with two of those games coming in the sixth from Sophomore Thea Hegde. Sophomore Anne Leakey continues her dominant play and moves her individual record to 10-1 on the year so far, with an easy three game victory in the first flight. Sophomore Katie Herring had to work the hardest out of the lineup, but still came away with a comfortable victory in the second flight. First-years Gabi El-Masry and Charlotte Derdeyn only gave up four and three points in the match respectively. While Victoria Savelius, Anna O'Connor and Cate Moll also breezed by their opponents, winning in three games.
