PHILADELPHIA - The Dickinson women's squash team found success at the top of the ladder on Saturday afternoon against Bowdoin College, but the Polar Bears ultimately showed off their depth en route to collecting a 6-3 win over the Red and White inside the Specter Squash Center on day two of the College Squash Association Team Championships.
Inside the Match
Dickinson picked up a pair of shutout wins on the afternoon as
Amna Fayyaz at the top spot blanked Emma Kate Watts-Roy, while in the two slot
Anne Leakey had no issues with Amanda Cowhey securing the 3-0 victory.
Katie Herring playing at three exchanged the opening four games against Darcy Weber, before posting an 11-3 win in the deciding fifth. Then, at seven
Cate Moll also needed to go the distance with Mira Karande, but dropped the decisive fifth 11-1 to give Bowdoin another triumph.
Whitney Finney (4th),
Ella Goldman (8th) and
Emerson Rains (9th) each picked up a game over Janie Lytle and Delphine King respectively, prior to falling in four each.
Thea Hegde (5th) and
Victoria Savelius (6th) suffered 3-0 setbacks on the afternoon.
