CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's golf team was back to work on Sunday hosting the Dickinson College Spring Invitational at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club. The Red and White sent two teams to the course on the day with the "A" team finishing in a tie for third, while the "B" unit grabbed eighth.
The "A" Team
Luke Vance led the way on the 6670-yard, par 72 course by firing an even par 72 to land in a tie for third. Two shots behind him was
Jack Poitras at 74. The duo of
Ryan Wheeler and
Carl Williams came within a stroke of each other posting 77 and 78 respectively.
Will Carkhuff rounded out the group with an 83.
The "B" Team
The pair of
Rocco Mastrangelo and
Colin Vineberg each carded an 80, followed one back by
Erik Schneider (81).
Sam Sieminski fired an 82, while
Bo Concannon entered the 19th-hole on an 88.
Team Scores
The individual winner was Benjamin Garcia Moreira who posted a two-under 70. He led the team winner Swarthmore College to shoot a 290. The rest of the team standings went as follows: Goucher (298), Catholic "A" and Dickinson "A" (301), Catholic "B" (305), Muhlenberg and Rutgers-Camden (314), Dickinson "B" (323), Lebanon Valley (324), Ursinus (329), Neumann (344), Lycoming (347), Washington (Md.) (350) and Wilson (361).
The First Tee
Dickinson gets right back at it tomorrow afternoon at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club. The action begins at high noon with a shotgun start.
