Regular Season Meeting - #25 Fords 13, DEVILS 6
These same two teams met up in the conference opener for both schools on March 23rd in the middle of a driving rainstorm. With the field practically underwater
Abby Geary tallied twice inside the opening four minutes, while
Syd MacKeigan notched one as well to give DC a 3-2 edge. However, two late markers from the home side had them on top 4-3 after one.
Sage Whiteside cashed in a feed from Geary to bring things level early in the second, but then the hosts went on a 7-1 run over the remainder of the second and the entire third period to open up a sizeable 11-5 advantage with 15 minutes left. Goals by Kylie McNamara and Brooke Epstein sandwiched a marker from
Delaney Herbert to set the 13-6 final score.
