The home side had the early pressure as Meg Kalthof (3) and Alyssa Russell accounted for the first four shots of the match forcing DC keeper Sophia Kavulich into one stop. Dickinson then responded with three consecutive shots coming from Ashley McSweeney, Bridget Merkel and Ava Prisco tasking Joss Metz with making one save. Each keeper would record another save prior to the half hour mark as Metz denied Izabela Pereira, while Kavulich had the answer for Julianna Schilling. Meg Bailey and Lexie Greene tallied a shot for their respective side during the final ten minutes, but neither found the net. York was on the attack early to start the frame as they earned four corners and notched one shot in the opening 15 minutes. Over the ensuing ten-plus minutes the hosts would record two of the next three shots as both Abby Brown and Schilling missed the target, while Lila Brown headed an offering just over the net off a free kick. With just under ten minutes left the Devils got on the attack with both Lauren Ervin and Maddie St. Amand just missing the frame as Metz watched them turn wide. Dickinson had a chance to breakthrough with just over a minute remaining, but Mckenna Gross was turned away by a fully stretched Metz at the right post to preserve the 0-0 scoreline. Shots - Prisco (2) Saves - Kavulich (3) Shots - Kalthof (4), Russell (3) Saves - Metz (3) Dickinson (4-1-1) begins conference play on Saturday night at 7pm when they head to Chestertown, Maryland to take on the Shorewomen of Washington College.
