CARLISLE, Pa. - The ninth-ranked Dickinson men's soccer team tallied three goals in each half and held a dominant 21-5 advantage in shots en route to posting a 6-1 win in their non-conference finale over local foe Lebanon Valley College at Miller Memorial Field on Wednesday night.
First Half
- Dickinson was out of the gates firing on all cyllnders as they tallied four shots in the opening ten minutes leading to a pair of stops from Ryan Simonette, while the two chances from Timi Omoniwa and Saul Iwowo (Jeremy Sallade assist) found the back of the net for a 2-0 edge.
- The next 20 minutes saw the Red and White to continue to let the shots fly as Nicholas Dwamena and Omoniwa missed to the left of the target, before Charlie Roy had a chance blocked down by the LVC defense.
- In the 32nd minute, the home side had shots from both Darian Crim and Dwamena ring off the pipes to keep it at 2-0.
- With 40:22 gone in the frame Nathan Prex got the first look at goal for the Dutchmen, but his offering was wide right.
- The Devils were not done with the scoring though as Sachil Kenkre played a beautiful ball into the box for Parker Kiey who blasted a shot on the half-volley into the back of the net for a 3-0 lead at the break.
Second Half
- LVC needed just four minutes to give themselves a lifeline as a counter-attack opportunity resulted in Ethan Groff finding Charlie Kramer for the finish.
- However, Dickinson needed only 41-seconds to respond when Sallade connected with Iwowo who completed his brace to make it 4-1.
- In the 66th-minute, the Red and White extended the advantage out to 5-1 as Iwowo forced a pass through the Dutchmen defense leading to Jarden pounding the ball into the goal.
- A little under ten minutes after that DC set the 6-1 final thanks to Darian Crim burying a dish from Rowan Jensen.
