LANCASTER, Pa. - Following a 2-0 week Dickinson men's basketball first-year guard
Jacob Pichay has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.
Pichay a native of Hanover, Massachusetts, had a well-rounded and efficient week as the Red Devils went 2-0 with wins over Penn State Harrisburg and Messiah. In a 66-53 victory over Penn State Harrisburg, he dropped a season-high 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor and a perfect 5-of-5 from downtown to go along with six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Pichay then closed out the week with 10 points, four assists, two rebounds and a steal in a 94-76 win over Messiah. The freshman guard posted averages of 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 63% from the floor and 75% from three.Â
Pichay and the rest of his teammates return to action on Saturday, January 3rd at 4pm when they welcome Carnegie Mellon University to the Kline Center for a non-conference clash.
