CANTON, NY – The Dickinson women's squash team moved to .500 after a convincing 7-2 victory over the Saints of Saint Lawrence University. The Red Devils were awarded the ninth flight in the match after the Saints were unable to field a full lineup.
Inside the Match
The top two flights continued to be a staple for the Red Devils in the win column, with sophomores Anne Leakey and Katie Herring easily winning their matches, including a 11-0 game from Herring in her match. First-Year Gabi El-Masry got off to a strong start, but got off track, losing in four games in the third flight. Junior Victoria Savelius had a strong showing in the fourth flight, getting the job done in four games. Sophomore Thea Hegde claimed the fifth flight in three games, including a shot of the day 'crosscourt nick'. The sixth and seventh flights were claimed easily by Cate Moll and Charlotte Derdeyn, while walk-on Lila Brown played a great match, but falling in four games.
