ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's lacrosse team got goals from nine different players including four from senior
Delaney Herbert in the opening frame to build up a 9-1 lead after 15 minutes that the Red and White would never look back from as they cruised to an 18-6 win in the 2025 season opener over Lebanon Valley College at Arnold Field.
- LVC made their first shot of the season count as Alyssa Wene beat Sierra McLaughlin for a 1-0 lead just 53-seconds in.
- Dickinson's first tally came with 3:14 gone when Bella Guckes setup Abby Geary for the finish past Giuliana Ditsky.
- Following a draw control win for Sage Whiteside, Herbet got her first, before repeating the performance 18-seconds later cashing in a dish from Liz Barroll.
- The Devils just kept on rolling with Whiteside burying the rock three minutes later, prior to Whiteside jarring the ball free from Elizabeth Morgan to setup Herbert's third making it 5-1 still with 5:48 left.
- DC extended the gap to 9-1 before the clock ran out with markers for Jillian McNulty, Marnie Todd, Guckes and Herbert.
- The attack just kept on coming for the Red and White with Grace Kelly and Jenna Nowland forcing stops from Ditsky less than two minutes in.
- Herbert struck again to make it 10-1, before linking up with Whitside for her first of the year at the 3:57 mark.
- Another LVC giveaway this time forced by Liv Rizzi led to the ball finding Herbert's stick once again, but this time instead of shooting she connected with Carson Cerow for the strike and a 12-1 edge.
- Wene's second of the day stalled the DC push for a second, however, Kelly would find the back of the cage for the first in her Dickinson career stretching it to 13-2 at the break.
- Peyton VanDorpe went between the pipes to open the period and was immediately put under pressure making a stop on Morgan, which allowed Guckes to track down the ball and find Geary for the goal two-plus minutes in.
- Three minutes later it became 14-3 when Wene finished her hat trick.
- Then, after a pair of saves by VanDorpe, Eva Gardner setup Guckes for number 15, before Herbert put the ball in the crosse of Todd to make it 16-3 with 4:09 left.
- The Devils had the lead to 17-3 after 45 minutes when Barroll connected with Gardner for the first of her DC career.
- Dickinson needed 1:16 to find the back of the net for the final time of the day as Whitside finished off a nice dish by Geary (18-3).
