LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team put forth a strong effort on Saturday during Day Three of the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Franklin and Marshall College at the Kunkel Aquatic Center.
The Red and White opened the nighttime session with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the team of
Jack Engel,
Daulton Kendall,
Samson Qu and
Justin Wong clocked in at 1:23.77, while
Nolan Chenot,
Alexander Kanard,
Andrew Kelley and
Henry Lease stopped the time at 1:28.17 for 14th.
Four Devils were in the pool for the 400-yard individual medley with Kelley claiming tenth with a 4:09.75, followed by
Paul Florio (11th - 4:16.72), Kanard (13th - 4:23.41) and
Benjamin Brandt (15th - 4:27.63).
Kendall would nab 14th in the 200-yard freestyle by getting to the wall in 1:45.08.
The 100-yard breaststroke saw Wong clock in at 58.34 for eighth.
James Wright just missed the podium for the final event of the day the 100-yard backstroke as his 50.97 was good for fourth.
Team Scores
After allowing Gettysburg to claim the lead through day two, Swarthmore has reclaimed the advantage with 639 points followed by Gettysburg (604), Franklin and Marshall (324), RED DEVILS (241), Washington (Md.) (233), Ursinus (225) and McDaniel (114).
Next on the Pool Deck
The Red and White return to action tomorrow morning at 10am for the preliminary session, before heading back to the Kunkel Aquatic Center for the final day of the CC Championship beginning at 6pm.
