LANCASTER, Pa. - After another strong day at the Centennial Conference Championships the Dickinson women's swimming team maintained their grip on fourth-place as the action came to an end on Saturday night at the Kunkel Aquatic Center on the campus of Franklin and Marshall College.
The evening session began with
Madeline Dold,
Anna Gnagey,
Caitlin Gross and
Tori May seizing fourth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:38.33, while the other DC crew of
Bella Gerkin,
Izzy Klonsky,
Sarah McHenry and Isobell O'Connell landed in 14th at 1:43.95.
May was then joined by
Emma Johnston for the 400-yard individual medley. May clocked in at 4:38.50 for eighth, followed by Johnston in 11th thanks to a 4:39.67.
Klonsky went at it alone during the 100-yard butterfly earning 15th by touching the wall in 1:00.98.
The duo of Gross and Dold competed in the 200-yard freestyle earning 13th (2:00.41) and 16th (2:05.72) respectively.
Gerkin would be the highest placing Devil for the 100-yard breaststroke claiming seventh thanks to a 1:07.01, while
Sydney Farling clocked in at 1:10.04 for 12th.
Gnagey rounded out the Top-5 in the final event of the day the 100-yard backstroke stopping the timer at 57.40, followed by McHenry in 11th with a mark of 59.73.
Team Scores
Swarthmore College maintained their trip on the top spot with 713 points, followed by Gettysburg (581), Franklin and Marshall (293.5), RED DEVILS (236), Ursinus (218), Washington (Md. (202), Bryn Mawr (109.5) and McDaniel (103).
Next on the Pool Deck
The Red and White return to action tomorrow morning at 10am for the preliminary session, before heading back to the Kunkel Aquatic Center for the final day of the CC Championship beginning at 6pm.
