Summer Check-In
Where are you working/interning this summer?
I’m interning at Winmark Global in London, England.

What are your day-to-day responsibilities in this position:
As a Business Projects Intern, I assist with research, data analysis, and strategic planning for executive leadership networks. I also attend high-level roundtable discussions and contribute to various global business initiatives.

What made this experience appealing to you?
The chance to work in an international business environment and gain real-world exposure in a global city like London really stood out to me. I was especially interested in developing practical skills and expanding my professional network.

How does this experience relate to your career or life aspirations?
I plan to attend law school after graduation and pursue a career in financial, tax, or entertainment law. This internship helps build a strong foundation in business strategy and global operations, which are highly relevant to the legal field I want to enter.

How has your athletics career prepared you for this role?
Being a student-athlete has taught me discipline, time management, and resilience. These skills have helped me manage a demanding workload and approach challenges with a team-oriented mindset.

What are you looking forward to for this upcoming year for your sport?
I’m looking forward to returning to campus and continuing to grow with my teammates. We’re focused on improving and competing at a high level, and I’m excited for what’s ahead this season.

Is there anything else you are looking forward to this summer outside of this experience?

I’m excited to explore different parts of Europe, experience new cultures, and make the most of this unique opportunity abroad.

Our next check-in will come on Friday as we caught up with women's cross country and track & field athlete, Marley Kurey.
