CARLISLE, Pa. - Junior midfielder
Norah Heacock picked up the lone goal of the match in the 39th-minute to help the Dickinson women's soccer team collect their fourth consecutive win and third straight within the Centennial Conference as they edged out the visiting Washington College (Md.) 1-0 on Saturday evening at Miller Memorial Field.
First Half
- Dickinson was on the attack early earning three corner kicks within the first ten minutes, but it only led to one shot courtesy of Isabelle Barison who missed wide right.
- Washington would record the next three shots, but none of them called DC keeper Pico Gray into action as the match entered the 30th minute.
- Two chances for Maddie Kraft-Williams and one from Mckenna Gross were blocked down by the Shorewomen defense within a five minute span.
- However, the Red and White would ultimately breakthrough at the 38:15 mark when a corner kick played in by Katie Vassilakos found Lila Brown who in turn connected with Heacock for the finish past Olivia Allen.
Second Half
- It took until the 56th to see the first shot of the period as Maddie St. Amand sent one over the top of the goal.
- The remainder of the match was played pretty much between the 18-yard boxes as St. Amand would muster the only other chance with just a few seconds left, but it was cleared off the line to end the match.
