CHESTER, Pa. - The eighth-ranked Dickinson men's soccer team got second half tallies from
Timi Omoniwa and
Roan Harrington as the Red and White picked up their second win of the week with a 2-0 non-conference win over Widener University at Quick Stadium.
First Half
- The opening 20 minutes saw the Devils on the front foot with Parker Kiey getting a pair of shots asking keeper Tristan Willey to make one save, while Saul Iwowo had a chance blocked down by the defense.
- Dickinson continued to pound away at the Pride's backline as Charlie Roy, Ethan Jarden and Iwowo all took shots towards goal tasking Willey to make one more stop during the 36th minute.
- Two minutes from time Jarden attempted to give DC a 1-0 lead going into the break, but he sent his shot high over the net.
Second Half
- The Red and White kept on the attack early in the period as Kiey missed wide left in the 48th, before a minute later Omoniwa found the back of the net for the 1-0 edge.
- Widener finally asked a question of Devils keeper Nick Potter with 64:16 gone when he denied Bryan Gaviria.
- In the 77th, the DC advantage became 2-0 when Omoniwa worked down the left-side and squared a pass to Harrington who pounded the ball past Willey.
- Darian Crim and Nicky Williams each added a shot prior to the end of the match, but were not able to tack onto the Devils lead as the final horn sounded.
