AMHERST, Mass. - After not playing the entire fall semester the 20th-ranked Dickinson women's squash team got their season off and running on Wednesday afternoon with a visit to the Davenport Squash Courts to take on Amherst College. Despite finding some victories at the top of the ladder the Red and White were not able to hold off the Mammoth dropping a 7-2 decision to the home side

In her first collegiate match,
Anabel Romero needed just over a half-hour to dispatch of Quincy Cline in four games at the top spot in the ladder. Just below her
Katie Herring got her season off to a strong start with a 3-0 triumph over Anastasiia Krykun. The Mammoths would then bounce back quite emphatically winning the ensuing matches all in three games to earn the win.
