CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson College Athletic Department is pleased to recognize women's soccer player
Lila Brown and men's track and field athlete
Trevor Richwine as the recipients of the McAndrews Award for the 2025–2026 academic year. Selected by Dickinson's coaches and administrators, the award recognizes outstanding athletic achievement, leadership and sportsmanship, and represents the department's most prestigious individual honor.
Brown, a native of Washington, D.C., capped an outstanding career for the women's soccer program with a historic senior season, becoming the first Dickinson player to earn United Soccer Coaches All-American recognition with a Second Team selection. She also became the program's first Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year while collecting her second consecutive First Team All-Region honor.
An anchor of the Red and White backline, Brown started all 21 matches and helped a stingy Dickinson defense surrender just 16 goals during the campaign. She also made her presence felt at the offensive end, contributing five goals and three assists for 13 points. Among her standout performances, Brown recorded a goal and an assist in the regular-season finale against Muhlenberg before scoring twice in a 5-0 Centennial Conference Tournament first-round victory over Washington College.
Brown's success extended into the classroom, where the environmental science major posted a 4.00 grade-point average and earned First Team academic recognition from both United Soccer Coaches and College Sports Communicators. She added another distinction in May when she was named one of the Centennial Conference's overall Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
"Lila has made a huge impact on the Dickinson women's soccer team," said Head Women's Soccer Coach
Ted Zingman. "Her competitiveness and drive to push our team to be its best were unmatched. She also grew into a selfless leader who raised the level of all her teammates. I'm very proud to have coached Lila and can't think of anyone more deserving of this prestigious award."
Richwine, a native of Newville, Pennsylvania, delivered a remarkable senior campaign, capturing NCAA Division III national championships in the 800 meters during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. He claimed the indoor crown in 1:48.17 before defending his outdoor title with a championship-meet record of 1:47.39. The victory marked his third consecutive national championship in the event, following his outdoor triumph in 2025.
Prior to his final national championship appearance, Richwine rewrote the Division III record book at the Widener Final Qualifier, crossing the line in 1:47.21 to eclipse the nearly 20-year-old standard established by Nick Symmonds. The performance also established new Dickinson and Centennial Conference records.
Richwine was equally impressive in conference competition, earning Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Year honors during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. At the outdoor championship, he won the 800 meters in a meet-record 1:48.57 and helped the Devils capture titles in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. His outstanding season also earned him U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Region Track Athlete of the Year recognition.
"Trevor has left a lasting impression on this team, the Centennial Conference, and DIII NCAA," said Head Track and Field Coach
Eric Bologa. "His hard work and determination drove him throughout his 4 years at Dickinson and I'm excited to see where it takes him next as he continues to train for the Olympic Trials!"
