Dickinson Athletics Announces Hall of Fame Class for 2027

CARLISLE, Pa. - Dickinson Director of Athletics Celine Cunningham has announced that four former Red Devil student-athletes, one veteran, two distinguished contributors, one contributor and one team will join the Dickinson Athletics Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2027.  The induction will take place during Hall of Fame Weekend from April 9-11, 2027.

Let's get to know the inductees a little more:

Jason Adams '14 - Men's Swimming
Adams was one of the most accomplished swimmers in Dickinson history, earning All-American honors in the 100 backstroke in 2011 and 2012, the 100 butterfly in 2011 and the 200 freestyle relay in 2012. The three-time Centennial Conference Swimmer of the Year received the award in 2011, 2012 and 2014, while sweeping the conference titles in the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke in each of his four seasons. In addition to those 12 individual championships, he contributed to six conference-winning medley relay teams. Adams established school records in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly, along with all four relay events. His performances in the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly also produced conference championship meet records. He helped the Red and White finish second at the Centennial Conference Championships in both 2012 and 2014.

Ted Hinnenkamp '16 - Men's Basketball
Hinnenkamp was a key contributor during one of the most successful stretches in Dickinson men's basketball history, helping the Red Devils to Centennial Conference championships in 2013 and 2015, three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and back-to-back trips to the Sweet 16. The Red and White advanced to the Elite Eight in 2014 and recorded a school-record 24 victories in both 2013-14 and 2014-15. As a senior, Hinnenkamp was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year and a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection, while earning NABC Second Team All-American honors. He also received All-Region recognition from the NABC and D3hoops.com and was selected for the Reese's NABC Senior All-Star Game. He left Carlisle with 1,114 points, 562 rebounds, 200 assists, 88 steals and 71 blocked shots, while setting school records for career field-goal percentage (.580) and games played (116).

Rachel Fleming '08 - Softball
Fleming was a mainstay in the Dickinson softball lineup, starting all 141 games of her career while helping the Red Devils reach the Centennial Conference playoffs in 2007 and 2008. The two-time team captain earned Second Team All-Centennial Conference honors in 2007 and Honorable Mention recognition in 2008, when she was also named the team's Most Valuable Player. She finished her career with 174 hits, 120 runs scored, 192 total bases and 29 stolen bases, while batting .349. Her durability and production established school records in career hits, at-bats and runs scored, along with 141 consecutive games played and started. Fleming hit .411 with 46 hits as a junior before recording 53 hits and 41 runs during her senior campaign. That 2008 season saw Dickinson set a then-school record with 26 victories and advance to the Centennial Conference Championship Game.

Zouck helped anchor the Red Devil defense during a memorable era for Dickinson men's lacrosse, earning USILA First Team All-American honors in 2013 after receiving Honorable Mention All-American recognition in 2012. He was a First Team All-Centennial Conference selection in each of those seasons, following an Honorable Mention nod in 2011, and was selected to participate in the 2013 USILA Senior All-Star Game. Zouck finished his career with 216 ground balls, placing him 14th in program history at the time of his graduation. His play helped Dickinson complete undefeated Centennial Conference regular seasons in both 2011 and 2013. During his senior campaign, the Red and White entered the conference tournament unbeaten overall and established a school record with 18 victories.

Distinguished Contributors - This award recognizes leadership, sustained advocacy and philanthropic investment that create a lasting impact on Dickinson Athletics and its student-athletes.

Stuart and Pam Mathews P'21
Stuart and Pam Mathews became deeply involved in the Dickinson community when their son, Chris '21, joined the men's lacrosse program, quickly embracing opportunities to strengthen the student-athlete experience through service, leadership and philanthropy. The couple joined the Parents Leadership Council, while Stuart has served on the Board of Trustees since 2021 and was a founding member of its Ad Hoc Committee on Athletics. Within two years of joining the Parents Leadership Council, Stuart led an effort that increased the impact of the Webster Fund more than tenfold through the family's generosity and their encouragement of other parents and alumni. Their support has extended well beyond men's lacrosse, with challenge gifts during Days of Giving and ongoing advocacy inspiring investment in athletic programs across campus. As trusted advisors and dedicated partners, the Mathewses have helped advance Dickinson Athletics while encouraging others to support the success of current and future Red Devil student-athletes.

Contributor - This award honors individuals whose service and dedication have made significant contributions to Dickinson's athletic programs and the advancement of its student-athletes.

Larry Snyder '65
Snyder has been one of Dickinson Athletics' most loyal champions for more than three decades, supporting the Red Devils as a dedicated volunteer, generous philanthropist and familiar presence on the sidelines. Recruited to Dickinson as a football and baseball student-athlete by Wilbur "Goby" Gobrecht '52, Snyder renewed his involvement with the College following his former coach's retirement celebration in the mid-1990s. A founding member of the McAndrews Fund, he has supported numerous men's and women's programs, including baseball, football, softball, basketball and lacrosse, and established the Dickinson Park Batting Cage Facility Fund. His service has included the Dickinson Fund Advisory Committee, McAndrews Fund Advisory Committee, Dickinson Admissions Volunteer Society and Hall of Fame committee, along with many years as a College Fair volunteer. Inspired by his own experience receiving financial aid, he also helped the Class of 1965 contribute nearly $590,000 to its scholarship fund during its 50th Reunion campaign. Together with his wife, Anne Selden '65, whom he met while serving on their 30th Reunion Committee, Snyder has made an enduring commitment to Dickinson and future generations of its students.

2010 Softball
The 2010 Dickinson softball team earned a special place in Red Devil history by capturing the program's first Centennial Conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament under head coach Matt Richwine. The Red and White finished 19-19 overall and 9-7 in conference play, entering the conference tournament as the fourth seed before putting together an unbeaten championship run in Collegeville. Dickinson opened the postseason with a 1-0 victory over top-seeded host Ursinus as Allison Jordan tossed a one-hitter and Madison Gerish scored the game's lone run in the sixth inning. The Devils followed with another 1-0 win over Swarthmore, with Kyrie Budnik driving in Emma Murtaugh and the pitching combination of Liz Barry and Jordan keeping the Garnet off the scoreboard. Dickinson completed its three-game sweep of the tournament with a 3-1 triumph over Swarthmore on May 2 to secure the conference crown and an automatic NCAA berth. The Red Devils then traveled to Ithaca, N.Y., for regional play, where they battled the host Bombers in a narrow 2-1 setback before falling 3-1 to Polytechnic (N.Y.). With a lineup that included First Team All-Centennial Conference outfielder Alesha Sisco, along with Murtaugh, Budnik and Gerish, and a pitching staff led by Jordan and Barry, the team delivered a championship breakthrough for Dickinson softball.
