ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Gillian Rosenstock scored her fifth goal of the season in dramatic fashion, finding the back of the cage off of a rebound from a Megan McClure shot with 5:33 left in the 4th quarter, propelling the Red Devils to an eventual 1-0 win over Muhlenberg in Allentown.
First Quarter
- Dickinson had a penalty corner less than 5 minutes into the game, but failed to get a shot from it.
- Muhlenberg had three corners and three shots in a 16-second span, as Jocelyn Morgan unsuccessfully challenged Red Devil goalie Arden Cook.
- Cook answered the call again when she denied a shot off the stick of Rachel Hager with 4:51 left in the first.
- The Red and White had two chances in quick succession when Nicole Uebele and Alex Hackett both had shots on goal in the 12th minute of play, but Brenna Fitzpatrick stopped both attempts.
- Haley Foster's shot was rejected by Cook with 1:02 left in the first.
Second Quarter
- Morgan tried her luck with Cook again early in the second, but was again denied.
- A corner for the Devils and off-target shots by Hager for the hosts and Uebele for the visitors was all the remaining action in the second quarter.
Third Quarter
- Cook stopped another Morgan shot in the 33rd minute of play, and Fitzpatrick stopped another Hackett attempt 80 seconds later.
- The Devils had 5 penalty corners in the third, including one that resulted in an off-target shot from Erin Liggio, and two in quick succession with 2:48 and 2:24 left on the clock that resulted in shots from Rosenstock and Raegan Carty, both of which were stuffed by Fitzpatrick.
Fourth Quarter
- A corner 5 minutes and 20 seconds into the final quarter of play led to a Rosenstock shot on goal, yet again stopped by Fitzpatrick.
- 4 minutes and 59 seconds later, McClure took a shot off a corner that was saved by Fitzpatrick, but Rosenstock was there to immediately follow that save up with a shot of her own, this one getting by Fitzpatrick to break the scoreless tie with 4:33 left in the game.
- Uebele would get one more unsuccessful try at beating Fitzpatrick, and the Devils would have four more off-target shots before time ran out with the visiting Red and White winning the contest.
