WSOC – Next Stop CC Playoffs! Devils Blank Mules on Senior Day

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Dickinson women's soccer team got two first half goals from Isabelle Bariso and Emma Barrabee to power the Red and White to a 2-0 Centennial Conference win over Muhlenberg College on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at Miller Memorial Field.

First Half
  • Dickinson needed less than three minutes to find the first goal of the day as Isabelle Bariso was stopped by Megan Stairs. However, the ensuing rebound was gathered by Ava Prisco who got the ball right back to Bariso for the finish.
  • The home side just continued to attack with Mckenna Gross, Ivana Vukas and Prisco all forced saves out of Stairs over the next ten minutes.
  • The Devils defense continued to hold the fort not allowing a shot the entire period, while Joelle Ma, Bridget Merkel, Gross and Vukas could not solve Stairs again as things entered the final five minutes.
  • That was when the Red and White would strike again with Ma playing a free kick to Norah Anderson who then quickly touched the ball to Emma Barrabee for the goal and a 2-0 halftime edge.
  • Through the first 45 minutes the Devils held a 20-0 advantage in shots (9-0 on target).
Second Half
  • The shots just kept on coming for the home side with Bariso, Barrabee and Merkel each posting one within the opening four minutes.
  • Following a shot by Anderson that missed wide, Stairs was called upon to deny both Barrabee and Gross as the match hit the final half hour.
  • Ava Cefaloni and Lauren Flowers forced stops out of Stairs in the 75th, before Ariana Defino recorded the Mules first shot in the 77th, but Pico Gray shut the door to preserve the shutout for the time being.
  • Dickinson attempted to make it three late in the match, but Anderson hit the woodwork to leave the result at 2-0.
