Erin McMahon (1-1)
Inside the Game
- With one gone Lloyd provided the Devils first hit of the day with a single to left. Next up was Amelia Plescia who worked a walk. However, Lehua Acoba got Erin McMahon to line out and Kohan to flyout. McMahon then went to the circle for the bottom-half and allowed two walks and a hit batter to load the bases for Jordan Lebsock. She would deliver a bases clearing double for a 3-0 advantage. That would put Kaylie Renner into the circle and she tallied the final two outs of the frame. The Tigers added one more during the second as a one out single from Riko Hibino came around to score on a base hit by Anna Kim.
- Dickinson tried to get back into things in the ensuing inning as after a strikeout for Elizabeth Raefski, Alex Johnson reached on an error and Lloyd walked to put two on for Plescia. She stepped up and smacked a single to right, unfortunately, Johnson was thrown out trying to reach home for the second out. McMahon was then offered an opportunity to notch an RBI, but she grounded out to second.
- In the fourth base hits for Aubrey Gilbert and Erin Eltzholtz gave DC first and second with one down. Renner reached on a fielder's choice at the expense of Gilbert being forced out at third. Raefski then flew out to right for the final out. Two singles off the bats of Kim and Sophia Siu drove another across for OC making it 5-0 entering the fifth.
- After the Red and White were kept off the board in the top-half, a single and hit batter along with a sacrifice bunt placed two in scoring position for Hibino. Prior to the conclusion of the at-bat a wild pitch plated one, before Hibino connected with an RBI single to center. Next in the box was Kim and she ended the ball game with an RBI two-bagger to center for the 8-0 final.
