MALVERN, Pa. - After entering Monday's final two rounds of the Swarthmore Invitational two shots in back of Franklin & Marshall College for the team lead, the Dickinson men's golf team posted combined scores of 291 and 289 to erase the deficit and win the event by a dozen shots at White Manor Country Club. Senior
Collin McMahon-Shea took home the individual crown with a total score of 210 to win by seven strokes.
Round 2
McMahon-Shea came in with the low round going 34,34 to card a three-under 68 on the 6626-yard course. The first-year duo of
Michael DePalma and Landon Mausser posted identical three-over 74s, while
Walter Gumbinger was one back at 75.
William Griffith finished with an 81 to complete the scores for round two.
Round 3
In the afternoon rounds it was Gumbinger who fired the lowest round for the Red and White with a one-under 70. McMahon-Shea ended at even par 71 to complete his title winning performance. Mausser improved on his earlier round shaving one shot to a 73, while DePalma added one to his mark at 75. Griffith closed out the tournament by entering the "19 hole" with an 80.
With his rounds of 71, 68 and 71 McMahon-Shea ended with a 210 to claim the title, followed by Dylan Zhang of the host Swarthmore (217).
