McMahon-Shea Closes Out the NCAA Tournament With Dominant Round

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Dickinson men's golf senior Collin McMahon-Shea closed out his time in a Dickinson shirt on Friday afternoon by matching the best rounds shot at the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Tournament as he fired a seven-under 65 to finish the four-round event in a tie for 12th as the action concluded at Mission Resort and Club.

A day after posting a four-over 76 on the 6740-yard El Campeon course, McMahon-Shea returned to the same spot Friday with a renewed vigor and fire in his eyes. The Devil began the day on the back nine and was absolutely on fire starting off with back-to-back birdies on the par 5 10th and par 4 11th. He then notched a par on the 12th (200-yard, par 3), before nabbing two more birdies as well as two pars over the next four holes. His nine concluded with a flourish as he birdied the 550-yard, par 5 17th and eagled the 437-yard, par 4 18th to end at a seven-under 30. He finished out the tournament with seven pars, one birdie and a bogey to end the day at 65.

McMahon-Shea's score of seven-under tied with Tim Kaufman (Washington and Lee) and Logan Mills (Claremont-Mudd-Scripps) for the lowest individual round of the tournament.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swept both the team and individual titles ending with a 13-under 1135 led by Sebi Aliaga who finished at ten-under (277).
