Women's Lacrosse Adds Laico and Stack to Coaching Staff

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson College women's lacrosse program and head coach Kim Masimore are thrilled to announce the additions of Kate Laico and Chelsea Stack to the coaching staff. Laico joins as a full-time assistant coach focusing on defense, while Stack will serve as a part-time assistant specializing in the attacking end of the field. Both bring elite collegiate playing experience and a deep passion for student-athlete development that will significantly bolster the program.

Kate Laico
Laico arrives at Dickinson with an NCAA Division II National Championship and extensive experience in recruiting and defensive systems. Recently, Laico served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Springfield College from June 2025 to May 2026. She played a vital role in daily practice planning and game-day preparation, emphasizing athlete development. A strategic defensive mind, she implemented high-pressure backer systems and man-down zones, building a robust defensive playbook. At Springfield, she led weekly film breakdowns using Hudl and Spiideo to deliver individualized feedback for defenders and goalkeepers. Administratively, Laico ran comprehensive recruiting operations utilizing Front Rush and IWLCA Sports Recruits to track prospects and execute prospect days.

Before coaching, Laico built a stellar career as a goalkeeper. Competing at Pace University from September 2021 to May 2024, she helped capture the 2023 NCAA DII National Championship. She concluded her playing career at Springfield, recording a .514 save percentage and earning Goalie of the Week honors twice. Laico's dedication to development is further evidenced by her work as Director of Peak Goalie since February 2025. She also serves as a Mental Performance Consultant for Mental Flex Inc., coaching elite athletes on confidence and resilience routines. She earned her B.A. in General Business from Pace University in August 2024 and her M.Ed. in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Springfield College in May 2026.

Coach Masimore said of adding Laico to her staff "Kate will bring an infectious energy to our entire program, with a particular impact on our lockdown defensive unit. Her passion for the game, combined with her expertise in mental performance, will elevate everyone in our program."

Chelsea Stack
Joining in a part-time capacity, Stack brings a deep commitment to fostering strong character, teamwork, and confidence, while helping athletes navigate their college experience. A standout on the field, Stack competed at Montclair State University from September 2021 to May 2025. She was a three-year team captain, responsible for bridging communication between coaches and teammates and ensuring team standards were upheld. Demonstrating exceptional leadership, she spearheaded a student collaboration alongside parents and administration to successfully reinstate the lacrosse teams at Montclair State. As a dominant competitor, she earned First Team All-NJAC honors twice and was named to the IWLCA Second Team All-Region twice.

Stack's coaching journey began at the youth level as the Head Coach for Verona Lacrosse from November 2022 to May 2025. In this role, she developed comprehensive practice plans, managed parent communications, and cultivated a supportive atmosphere. Outside of lacrosse, Stack works as an Assistant Buyer for the Philadelphia Eagles. Her experience involves high-level organizational logistics, including preparing 14 stadium retail locations for special events and leading a 10-person warehouse team on game days. Stack earned her B.A. in Fashion Merchandising from Montclair State University.

"We are fortunate to welcome Chelsea as she begins her collegiate coaching career. She brings enthusiasm and a genuine desire to contribute to the growth of our program, especially on the offensive end. I am confident she will help us increase our goal-scoring opportunities and improve our shooting efficiency" added Masimore.

Both Laico and Stack represent an exciting new chapter for Dickinson women's lacrosse. Their combined expertise at both ends of the field, organizational leadership, and team development will serve as tremendous assets to Coach Masimore and the Red Devils roster.
