CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson volleyball team recorded 22 aces across two matches on Saturday as the Red and White posted a pair of 3-0 non-conference victories over Catholic University and Misericordia University inside the Kline Center.
Mallie Thomas was the Devils leader in kills with 23 combined on the afternoon.
Match One - DEVILS 3, Cardinals 0 (25-19, 25-23, 26-24)
Set One
Set Two
- The group of Julia Turchiano, Maddie Wilkey and Carella had the Cardinals win the race to ten at 10-7.
- Two Arcara aces along with kills by Currie, Fishbach, Oppenheim and Thomas gave DC a 14-11 advantage.
- Scores for Currie, Flynn, Schner and Thomas kept the Devils in front by the slimmest of margins 21-20.
- A pair of DC miscues and a kill for Wilkey brought things even 23-23.
- However, a thunderous Thomas kill and error from Julia Raab closed the set 25-23.
Set Three
- A service ace by Brenna Williams and a couple of Currie points made it 4-1 DC.
- Ava Borcky, Elianette Escalera, Carella and Turchiano pushed the guests ahead 10-7.
- Two points each from Oppenheim and Thomas helped DC to take a 13-10 edge, but Juliette Cummings, Alejandra Garcia, Carella, Rabb and Turchiano rallied the Cardinals to the 22-18 lead.
- Four Thomas points coupled with kills by Currie and Schner helped the Red and White to end the match with an 8-2 sprint (26-24).

Set One
- Aces for Arcara, Butcher, Palo and Williams along with kills from Currie, Cusson, Fishbach and Thomas gave DC an 11-6 edge.
- Keira McCaffrey stalled the Devils for a second, but points for Currie, Fishbach, Oppenheim and Williams made it 18-9.
- Solo kills by Cassandra Genduso and Jennifer Nicometo cut the score to 18-11, but Currie, Schner and Thomas ended on a 7-0 run (25-11).
Set Two
- Misericordia got off to the 9-5 lead thanks to points for Colleen Kelleher, Isabella Lutter and Keira McCaffrey.
- Dickinson then took six of the next eight on scores from Flynn and Williams tying the score at 11-11.
- The teams traded points for awhile with a DC miscue giving the Cougars a slim 16-15 edge.
- However, Cusson, Oppenheim, Schner and Thomas left no double finishing with a 10-3 outburst (25-19).
Set Three
- The two sides traded the opening ten points to be tied 5-5.
- A kill for Cusson as well as contributions from Oppenheim and Schner capped a run of seven straight (13-5).
- After a bad serve, the Devils wasted no time responding with a trio of Schner kills and solo points for Fishbach and Williams got the Red and White closer to finishing out the match at 19-7.
- Dickinson continued to hold the Cougars at bay as Oppenheim and Thomas collected six of the final ten to end the match (25-11).
