CARLISLE, Pa. — The Dickinson men's soccer team took a lead in the 63rd minute and never looked back as they prevented conference rival Gettysburg from taking a single shot on goal on Wednesday night in Carlisle.
First Half
- The Red and White would get their first shot on goal in the sixth minute as Nicholas Dwamena's look was denied by Gettysburg goalie Anthony Marziliano.
- Marziliano again kept the Devils out of the scoring column when he saved a shot off the foot of Jeremy Sallade in the 21st.
- The Red Devils had two corner kicks in quick succession in the 33rd and 34th minutes of the match, but failed to take a shot on gaol in either try.
- The Bullets would match the Devils' with two corners of their own in the 35th and 39th, but would also fail to get a shot on goal.
- Westin Fryberger's shot on goal in the 43rd was again saved by Marziliano and the game went to halftime without a score from either team.
Second Half
- Marziliano was tested three times by the Red and White in the first 18 minutes of the half, denying Connor Harrington in the 57th, Timi Omoniwa in the 61st, and Roan Harrington in the 62nd.
- Omoniwa would find the back of the net in the 63rd minute of the contest to give the Devils a 1-0 advantage.
- The Devils only took two more on-target shots on the night, with Connor Harrington again being stopped by Marziliano and Omoniwa again getting the better of the Bullets' goalkeeper for his second goal of the night in the 83rd.
- The Bullets got shots from Liam Hedinger in the 69th, and Ian Selvaraj in the 84th, but neither one was able to challenge Red Devil goalie Gavin Marr.
