| (Carlisle, Pa.)- The Dickinson
College women's volleyball won its home opener, defeating Mary
Baldwin College, 3-0, on Friday night. The Red Devils claimed the
match with scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-11. |
Senior Ely Gosheva (Sofia, Bulgaria/American
University of Sofia) led the attack with 11 kills,
adding five digs. ClassmateKristen Lee (Los Angeles,
Calif./Brentwood) added seven kills, four aces and
nine digs for the Devils.
Senior setter Chelsea Winkert (Cazenovia,
N.Y./Cazenovia)dished out 28 assists and served up four
aces as well whileAmanda Hayes (Midlothian,
Va./Midlothian) and Lauren Yura
(Morgantown, W.V./Morgantown) each tallied 11
digs.
The Red Devils improve to 1-5. They host Mary Baldwin again on
Saturday morning and will take on Sweet Briar College at 3:00
pm.
