Pomona Pitzer Tops Devil Spikers


(Claremont, Calif.)- The Dickinson College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback in the first match of its west coast tour, falling to Pomona-Pitzer.

The hosts swept the match with scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-10. Sarah Amos led Pomona-Pitzer with 10 kills.

First-year Avery Zuvic (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) recorded five kills while Chelsea Winkert (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) tallied 12 assists.

The Red Devils slip to 3-7 overall. They are scheduled to play Claremont-Mudd Scripps on Friday night and Chapman College on Saturday.
