(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's soccer team
had another strong outing, scoring three second-half goals in a 4-0
win over the visiting University of Scranton on Wednesday
afternoon.
Junior Ben
Gemberling-Johnson (Wyndmoor, Pa./Germantown Friends)
put the Devils on the board, picking up a loose ball just outside
the penalty area and finding the back of the net with just 4:17
remaining in the first half.
First-year Derek
Kachadurian (Weston, Mass./Weston) scored back-to-back
goals in the second half, with the first coming just under three
minutes after the break. Senior David Lister
(Dallas, Texas/Greenhill) recorded an assist on
Kachadurian's first strike. The Devils' third goal came in the
67th minute after Kachadurian was fouled in the penalty
area. He converted the Penalty kick to stretch the lead to 3-0.
Junior P.J.
Levinsky (Pottersville, N.J./Delbarton) tacked on the
final goal of the night, ripping a shot from the top of the 18 with
an assist from first-year Ron Geedey
(Gap, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) with just 2:01 remaining in the
game.
Sophomore Cody Hickok
(Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) posted his fourth solo
shutout of the season, making four saves, turning away a great
attempt in the second half. The Devils received strong defensive
play as well, led by senior Thomas
Parkinson (Alamo, Calif./Westfield, N.J.), recording
the team's eighth shutout of the year.
James Dillon made nine saves for Scranton as they slip to 4-8
overall. The Red Devils improve to 8-3-2 on the season. Dickinson
returns to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, traveling to
Haverford for a 3:00 pm start.
