(Dallas, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against nationally-ranked Misericordia University on Wednesday night. The Cougars are ranked 13th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll and 25th in the D3soccer.com rankings.
The Red Devils struck first as sophomore Derek Kachadurian (Weston, Mass./Weston) slipped one past the goalkeeper in the 34th minute to put the Devils on the board.
Greg Korhonen answered to tie the game in the 58th minute, finishing an assist from Nick Ferguson to keep Misericordia out of the loss column.
The teams battled through regulation and two overtime periods, only to remain tied, 1-1. Misericordia moves to 9-0-1 on the season. The Cougars held a 25-7 advantage in shots on the night and forced 11 corners while facing five from the Red Devils.
Junior Cody Hickok (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) made four saves on the night as the Devils move to 6-3-3 overall. Dickinson travels to Haverford College on Sunday for a 1:00 pm start.
