(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team hosted nationally-ranked Division II Bloomsburg University on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies posted a 132-67 win to post their second win of the season.
First-year Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.84 and swam the lead leg of the winning 200 free relay (1:32.59). He added a fourth place showing in the 500 freestyle, clocking a time of 5:01.80.
Classmate Sam Eaton (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) posted a win in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.05 and joined the third place medley relay (1:40.98).
Junior Chris Miles (Harford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) placed second in the 100 backstroke (55.05) and with the 200 free relay. He swam the lead leg of the third place medley relay as well.
Senior Brandon Gauthier (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) touched the wall second in the breaststroke, clocking a time of 1:03.17. He placed third in the 400 individual medley (4:30.22) and anchored the medley relay.
Sophomore Alex Karickhoff (Willoughby, Ohio/Hawken School) added a pair of third place showings in the 50 freestyle and the medley relay.
The Red Devils slip to 4-2 on the season. They are scheduled to travel to the Gettysburg Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
