(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team battled with Franklin & Marshall but the Diplomats were able to escape with a 109-95 decision on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Chris Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) led-off the winning 400 medley relay as the Devils clocked a time of 3:36.64 to open the meet. He added a second place finish in the 200 backstroke and claimed second with the 400 free relay.
First-year Mitchell Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) won the 1000 yard freestyle and placed second behind sophomore teammate Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) in the 500. Bennett had a strong swim in the 200 freestyle as well, touching the wall second.
Junior Alan Karickhoff (Willoughby, Ohio/Hawken School) had a one-two-three afternoon, winning the 50 freestyle, anchoring the 400 free relay to second and capturing third in the 100 freestyle event.
First-year Jake Beley (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) led-off the second place free relay, and placed second in the 200 individual medley, touching just in front of classmate Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick). Beley added a third place showing in the 200 backstroke while Beard came in second in the 200 breaststroke.
Sophomore Sam Eaton (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) won the 200 breaststroke and earned a win with the medley relay. Classmate Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas./Alamo Heights) anchored the winning medley relay and was second with the 400 free relay.
Senior Cameron Phillips (Woborn, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover) swam to silver in the 200 butterfly and joined the medley relay for bronze.
The Red Devils slip to 5-5 overall and 1-3 in the Centennial Conference. They are on the road on Wednesday, traveling to Gettysburg College for a 7:00 pm start.
