(Bloomsburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team suffered a 108-86 setback at Division II Bloomsburg University on Friday night.
First-year Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) swam for the cycle, winning the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.38, while placing second in the 200 individual medley (1:59.52) and third with the 200 medley relay.
Senior Alan Karickhoff (Willoughby, Ohio/Hawken School) led off the winning 200 free relay and placed third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.40.
Junior Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) was second in the 1000 freestyle (10:19.99) and touched the wall third in the 100 freestyle in 49.78. Classmate Sam Eaton (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) won the 100 breaststroke and joined the third place medley relay.
Sophomore Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) won the 500 freestyle, posting a time of 4:58.91.
First-year Kevin Potocki (Fayetteville, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) anchored both the 200 medley and free relays, and placed fourth in the 50 freestyle.
The Red Devils welcome the University of Scranton for their home opener on November 14th at 1:00 pm.
