Box Score (Scranton, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback at the University of Scranton on Wednesday afternoon.
The hosts found the back of the net in the 25th minute as Haley Bonilla finished a double-assist from Connor Casey and Michael Bergen to put the Royals on the scoreboard.
That would prove to be the lone goal of the match as Scranton improved to 9-3 on the season.
The match was relatively even statistically, with Scranton holding a 12-9 advantage in shots and a slim 6-5 edge in corners. Colin Homola and Eric Hintz combined to make four saves in the nets for the Royals.
Senior Jeremy Palcan (Park Ridge, Ill./St. Ignatius Prep) made one save and first-year Frederick Meagher (Southport, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) came on to stop three shots for the Red Devils.
The Red Devils slip to 5-7-1 overall. They return to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, traveling to Gettysburg College for a 7:00 pm kick-off.
